Come join us Tuesday night (1/16/18) at the Paker Library for an educational evening of fly tying! We will have a guest fly-tyer, Ben Baxter. Ben Baxter will focus on a few choice streamer patterns, including the Dalai Llama, which have been proven essential for Colorado and have successfully tempted bruisers and honest fish alike throughout the Rocky Mountain West. He’ll also share with us some of his technical tying magic for keeping all that marabou and flash under control.
Ben has been tying innovative patterns flies for a while as well as fishing (catching) in Colorado. He’s become a local fly tying Guru and will also tie flies be featured at the upcoming Fly Fishing Show, West Denver Fly Tying Clinic, and other local events. Ben is currently featured on the Anglers All YouTube Fly Tying Series in video tying the Dalai Lama, an articulated streamer. Check it out at this link.
We'll publish a list of flies, including a materals list, that will be covered at this event. Stay tuned! When: Tuesday, January 16, 2018, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (NOTE: There will be NO tying event on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.)
Where: We will meet at the Parker Library located at 20105 Main Street, Parker, CO 80134. Take note; this is a new location for us!
